Postpartum is a chapter of profound change—beautiful, disorienting, and deeply transformative. Yet, the conversation around it often feels incomplete. We are told what to buy for the baby, but rarely how to care for the woman who has just undergone a massive physiological and identity shift.
At Hone, we believe the current standard for postpartum support—and style—is too low. It’s time to raise it.
Welcome to The Postpartum Standard.
Launching this January, The Postpartum Standard is more than a podcast; it is an audio companion for your return to the world. Hosted by Hone founder Toni Toomey, this series is dedicated to the woman behind the mother. We are creating a space where intention meets design, exploring how we can navigate motherhood without losing our sense of self.
What We Will Explore
We are moving past the surface-level advice to tackle the nuanced realities of the modern mother. Expect in-depth conversations on:
-
The Science of Safety: Why hormone-safe fabrics matter for your long-term health and recovery.
-
Identity & Ambition: Navigating the return to the office and bridging the "workwear gap" with confidence.
-
Elevated Wellness: Insights from OB-GYNs, lactation consultants, and functional medicine doctors like Dr. Mia Helena.
-
Style as Self-Care: How "architecturally clean" design and natural fibers can help you reclaim your body and your professional identity.
Why Now?
We built Hone because we saw a gap: professional women were struggling to find nursing wear that matched their aesthetic and their values. We realized that the "workwear gap" was actually a symptom of a larger issue—a lack of resources that honor the mother’s experience as much as the baby’s.
This podcast is our commitment to filling that void. Whether you are pumping between meetings, nursing at 2 AM, or simply looking for a voice that understands your desire for quality over clutter, this space is for you.
